The TIME Person of the Year short list revealed
Tue Dec 18, 2012
Working incredibly hard to fulfill a positive view of the US in the world. Thanklessly, for the most part, too!
Michael Clarke Duncan's death a reminder to safeguard your heart
Tue Sep 4, 2012
Gosh, what a disappointing and poorly researched article! Have you ever noticed that all the things that supposedly cut your risk of heart disease by 15-20 percent? If you add them all up, you would have a ZERO percent chance of cardiovascular problems, and that's BS. Nobody mentioned steroids, nobo …
Jonathan Waxman: How to make the perfect guacamole
Tue May 22, 2012
That's great, an Italian New Yorking showing how to make guacamole!<G>. Where is the tomato, the jalapeno and the garlic? It is a Mexican dish and the heat of the garlic and jalapeno are tempered by the oil of the avocado. Seriously, fava beans?
Republican Missouri lawmaker: I am gay; let's stop anti-gay bill aimed at schools
Wed May 2, 2012
It is sort of sad, we really do need a Republican party that is responsible, intelligent and can offer a different slant on governing, but this version is simply a joke- with devil's pacts with so many fringe groups that they can't be against intolerance, crazy wars, gun abuse, or the de-facto estab …

Thu Oct 20, 2011
Where does individual responsibility intersect with the greater good? It is a hard question to answer.
How immigration blew up on Rick Perry
Tue Sep 27, 2011
It is ironic that Rick Perry is getting in trouble, not for being a slimeball, or his shady back door deals with business people, but for doing two things that were actually decent or at least inspired by decency- the tuition thing and the Gardisil thing (which actually isn't a bad idea). The folks …
Is President Obama engaging in 'class warfare'?
Mon Sep 19, 2011
Unfortunately, the facts show an increasing gap between the wealthy and not well off. Middle class has disappeared!
